Your wedding band search!
OK so you now have to start your search to find your wedding band in the North of Scotland. You have never done this before so where do you start? You can ask friends for their opinion or ask complete strangers on online wedding groups for their opinions. However do they have the same taste in music as you? Do they have the knowledge of the guests attending, your venue or how you dream your wedding will be?
It really is a massive decision that will relate directly to the success of the biggest day in your life. We are lucky to have some fabulous wedding bands and entertainers in the North of Scotland with others who are happy to travel. Some work with agencies and some do not whch is perfectly fine.
However you might prefer to have the support and the experience of a local wedding agency such as Elite Promotions behind you. Who are Elite Promotions?

The starting point!
It cannot be emphasised enough that your eventual choice is a highly important part of your big day. The first stage should always be to have a look at your venue and imagine what it would look like with a band, a disco, or both. Discuss your thoughts with the venue co-ordinator as well as your family and friends.
Whether you book through ourselves, another reputeable agency or directly with a band there is one golden rule. NEVER confirm a wedding band without seeing them play LIVE! Online videos are great to see what is out there. However when it comes to your final decision it must be based on a LIVE performance. As a guide local and Scottish based wedding bands can range from £1,000 to £4,000. Ask yourself one simple question. When was the last time you paid that sum of money, without knowing EXACTLY what, and who, you were paying for?
Seeing bands LIVE
Viewing a wedding band is often not as easy as it sounds, as the major wedding bands are often playing at a wedding! However we may be in a position to suggest certain venues to ‘discreetly’ view a band for a short time. Here at Elite Promotions we also host regular wedding band showcase events. These popular and informal events will give you the chance to see, view and compare five or more bands on the same night. If none of the bands on show are for you you have lost nothing!
When you are ready to book?
It is also critical that when you are ready to book the correct booking process is followed. Do not book a band on the strength of a phone call. The band must be contracted in writing to you, and you to them. The one thing COVID has taught us is that things can go wrong in the time between you booking your wedding and the wedding day itself. This is where the protection of having an agency such as Elite Promotions working with you come’s into its own. We have a policy of contacting you immediately if there are any changes in the band that might affect your booking. This is particularly important if there is a change in the line up of your band. This can be from the time you make the original booking to the wedding day itself. We also send you a final details form two months before your wedding to ensure your entertainers are up to speed with your wishes and plans.
